what is a doula?

A doula is trained to provide emotional, physical, and informational support to pregnant people and their families. At its best, this support is unconditional and accessible to all people who experience pregnancy and its many possible outcomes. I believe every person who becomes pregnant deserves a doula . . .

whether or not they choose to carry their pregnancy to term,

whatever their birth plan,

whether or not pregnancy and birth lead them to parenting,

however their bodies look and function,

and whatever their gender and family structure.

post-partum support

I am not currently offering post-partum doula services, though I plan to begin offering this service soon. If you are interested in hiring a post-partum doula, please feel free to reach out to me for a referral.

    placenta encapsulation

Those who have consumed their placentas after birth report numerous benefits, including increased milk supply, an improved recovery period, and reduced symptoms of post-partum depression. For many, taking placenta pills is an essential ritual of post-birth self-care.

Using the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method, I transform the placenta into pills for the birthing person’s consumption. This method of preparation retains some of the nutrients and hormones present in the placenta at the time of birth.

    My placenta encapsulation package includes:

    • Pick-up of your placenta within 24 hours of birth
    • Processing of your placenta using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Method
    •  Drop-off at your home within 24-48 hours of pick-up

    full-spectrum support

I am not currently offering pregnancy release support, though I plan to begin offering this service soon. If you need this support, I will gladly provide a referral.
